Invitation Wording

Where do you start when writing out your wedding invitations? The format below is the most common way to write them out. Feel free to start with it and tweak as you need. Remember that you can get fancy and quirky with the wording, but the main thing is to get the basic information across. Your guests need to know where to be, what time to be there & how to dress. It’s really that simple!

Wedding Invitation Wording Example

1 – The Host of the Wedding

Below are examples of how the hosts names can be written. How do you decide who is hosting the wedding? Usually it’s whoever is paying for the wedding. Generally, to avoid family politics, the bride & groom / bride & bride / groom & groom will say they are hosting the wedding along with their families to be more inclusive.
